Jamel’s work often begins from a similar point of departure, yet his recent pieces show a noticeable evolution. The works have become more textured and more fragmented, with a palette that is slightly more restrained. This gives them a somewhat more classical and subdued presence, while remaining unmistakably Jamel Armand. Powerful, spiritual and strong, the works feel increasingly organic and natural, moving slightly away from the Pop sensibility of earlier pieces, while maintaining the distinctive visual language that defines his practice. Earlier works by Jamel Armand that we presented at the gallery sold out quickly, so we very much look forward to presenting this new body of work from 11 April. RSVP to join us for the opening
