"It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change"Charles Darwin Nature and adaptationI spent my birthday in Tenerife with Lindsay, it was a beautiful moment to slow down and recharge. What stayed with me most was the island itself. The south felt dry and warm, the north was wet and green, and higher altitudes were cold and almost lunar. Such different climates living side by side in one place. That diversity brought Darwin’s words to mind. Many species coexist on the island because they adapt to very different conditions. Survival there is not about being the strongest, it is about fitting the environment and adjusting when conditions shift. This feels very relevant today. Technology moves fast, AI changes how we work, and global uncertainty keeps reshaping our plans. Adapting to change is essential if we want to keep learning and evolving. At the same time, people often resist change, and for good reason. Not every shift matters. Some changes are just noise. The real challenge is finding balance, learning how to spot meaningful signals while letting the rest pass by, which is rarely simple. Tags#adaptability #change #growth #travel |
